We Thank Our Amazing Employees Following Hurricane Michael

When Hurricane Michael approached the Florida Panhandle, the residents we serve were placed at risk. We’re thankful to have the support of so many who helped provide for our residents throughout the storm and power outages — especially our amazing employees. As a faith-based, not-for-profit organization, the residents and employees are our top priority.  Our staff spent countless hours to ensure the safety of our residents. We are grateful for their dedication and service. Click and enlarge the image below to read the letter from CEO Roger Stevens, COO Garry Hennis and CFO Hank Keith to all employees.

Hurricane-Michael-letter

October 15, 2018

Dear Westminster employees,

Last week, Hurricane Michael hit our state. The devastation throughout the Panhandle — in Panama City, Apalachicola, Marianna, Tallahassee and beyond — that we have seen on the news and in many of the homes of our friends and family is simply heartbreaking.

No matter where you work, the whole extended family of Westminster Communities of Florida was affected in some way. Your service to our Ministry and Mission while we prepared for, weathered, and then cleaned up after Hurricane Michael was extraordinary in the highest possible terms. Your hard work enabled us to continue to serve the residents at a critical moment, from nursing support, to dining services, to lifestyle and wellness, to maintenance and housekeeping. Through your tireless efforts, we were able to ensure the safety of all of the residents.

We are thankful that our communities, the residents and all of you are safe and sound now. In spite of the destruction all around us, Westminster Oaks, Westminster Gardens, Westminster Manor – Fort Walton Beach and Westminster Village are returning to normal. The hard work of recovery begins.

Westminster Communities of Florida is blessed to have the best employees around. You are why our residents chose to live at a Westminster community!

Thank you for going above and beyond to help us fulfill our Mission of serving older adults. We appreciate you!

Sincerely,

Roger Stevens, Chief Executive Officer

Garry Hennis, Chief Operating Officer

Hank Keith, Chief Financial Officer
