Westminster Woods on Julington Creek and Westminster Communities of Florida are closely monitoring Hurricane Milton, and our top priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and team members. We are actively planning and preparing for the storm and are taking all necessary precautions. We will provide updates as they become available and throughout the storm.

Following Hurricane Milton, we have been preparing the community for residents to return. As of this afternoon, our Assisted Living residents have arrived back at their apartments and Nursing Care residents are on their way. We are pleased to welcome them back home.
Beginning at 5 p.m. today, Independent Living residents who evacuated from the Garden Apartments, Northpoint, Magnolia and Creekside may return. We have resumed all services.
Thank you to Westminster St. Augustine, The Ponce and Penney Retirement Community for helping us shelter from the storm.

As of this evening, the evacuation order by St. Johns County has been lifted. Our community has full power service.
Unfortunately, Assisted Living residents may not return from their evacuation site in the Memory Support building as previously planned, due to a regulatory issue. We will have an inspection of the Assisted Living tomorrow. All of the residents are fine and we are continuing to provide service to them at Memory Support. We regret that this represents an inconvenience for residents, and we look forward to returning back to the Assisted Living once the Department of Health has cleared our return.
We are continuing to plan for Nursing Care residents to return from their evacuation sites tomorrow.

As of this evening, the evacuation order by St. Johns County has been lifted. Assisted Living residents who are at the Memory Support Neighborhood will be returning to their apartments this evening. We are currently planning for Nursing Care residents to return from their evacuation sites tomorrow.
Because the county evacuation order has been lifted, Independent Living residents may return home if they feel that it is safe to do so and we encourage them to please review the St. Johns County Emergency Management’s website for more information.

We are continuing to evaluate damage that may have been caused by Hurricane Milton to our community. All of the Assisted Living and Nursing Care residents who evacuated are doing well, and we thank the team members throughout the organization who are hard at work to support them. Spirits are high among team members and residents. Thank you to all of the communities who are hosting us during our evacuation.

We are prepared for the arrival of Hurricane Milton. Portions of our community are under mandatory evacuation order, including the Garden Apartments, Magnolia, Creekside, Northpoint, and Assisted Living and Nursing Care. All Nursing Care residents have arrived at their evacuation sites at Westminster St. Augustine, Penney Retirement Community and Ponce Nursing and Rehabilitation. Assisted Living residents will be sheltering from the storm in the Memory Support neighborhood. Everyone is doing well.
Thank you to our team members who traveled to our evacuation sites, for their hard work in supporting the continued safety and well-being of the residents we serve.

Our community is actively planning and preparing for the effects of Hurricane Milton. St. Johns County has issued a mandatory evacuation order for low-lying areas, including parts of our community. We are currently preparing to evacuate beginning later today.
Assisted Living residents will be sheltering in the Memory Support building, outside the flood evacuation zone, along with Memory Support residents. All Nursing Care residents will be relocating to Westminster St. Augustine, Penney Retirement Community in Green Cove Springs and Ponce Nursing and Rehab in St. Augustine.
For Independent Living residents, the Garden Apartments, Northpoint and Magnolia apartments, and Creekside villa homes are all in the mandatory evacuation Zone A. We urge Independent Living residents in these areas to evacuate as soon as possible.
We will remain at our evacuation sites until advised that it is safe to return home. We will continue to follow the recommendations of the National Hurricane Center and St. Johns County emergency management office, and continue to update with any new developments.

Team members are hard at work preparing the community’s grounds and bringing in supplies. We are grateful to our dedicated team members for their hard work in supporting the continued safety and well-being of our residents.
