Hurricane Updates for Westminster Palms

Westminster Palms and Westminster Communities of Florida are closely monitoring Hurricane Milton, and our top priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and team members. We are actively planning and preparing for the storm and are taking all necessary precautions. We will provide updates as they become available and throughout the storm.

  • We are thankful to have weathered Hurricane Milton at our evacuation sites. The City of St. Petersburg has lifted the evacuation order. Unfortunately, our community suffered some damage from the hurricane and we are continuing to evaluate the safety for residents to return. Our first priority is always the safety and well-being of our team members and residents. Assisted Living and Nursing Care residents are safe and continuing to do well at Westminster Lakeland and Westminster Winter Park. We will continue to update for when residents may return as more information becomes available.

  • We are thankful to have weathered the storm at our evacuation sites. Unfortunately power has not been restored yet and the city is under a boil water notice. Pinellas County urges extreme caution in travel. We will continue to assess the buildings tomorrow and once we have determined that it is safe to do so, we will make plans for residents to return.

Residents and team members are doing well at our evacuation sites and we will stay there until it is safe to return home.

Thank you very much to the team members who have been caring for the residents we serve throughout the effects of the storm.

  • We are continuing to evaluate damage that may have been caused by Hurricane Milton to our community. All of the Assisted Living and Nursing Care residents who evacuated are doing well, and we thank the team members throughout the organization who are hard at work to support them. Spirits are high among team members and residents. Thank you to all of the communities who are hosting us during our evacuation.
