Our community is actively planning and preparing for the effects of Hurricane Milton. St. Johns County has issued a mandatory evacuation order for low-lying areas, including parts of our community. We are currently preparing to evacuate beginning later today.
Assisted Living residents will be sheltering in the Memory Support building, outside the flood evacuation zone, along with Memory Support residents. All Nursing Care residents will be relocating to Westminster St. Augustine, Penney Retirement Community in Green Cove Springs and Ponce Nursing and Rehab in St. Augustine.
For Independent Living residents, the Garden Apartments, Northpoint and Magnolia apartments, and Creekside villa homes are all in the mandatory evacuation Zone A. We urge Independent Living residents in these areas to evacuate as soon as possible.
We will remain at our evacuation sites until advised that it is safe to return home. We will continue to follow the recommendations of the National Hurricane Center and St. Johns County emergency management office, and continue to update with any new developments.
