Following Hurricane Milton, we have been preparing the community for residents to return. As of this afternoon, our Assisted Living residents have arrived back at their apartments and Nursing Care residents are on their way. We are pleased to welcome them back home.
Beginning at 5 p.m. today, Independent Living residents who evacuated from the Garden Apartments, Northpoint, Magnolia and Creekside may return. We have resumed all services.
Thank you to Westminster St. Augustine, The Ponce and Penney Retirement Community for helping us shelter from the storm.
As of this evening, the evacuation order by St. Johns County has been lifted. Our community has full power service.
Unfortunately, Assisted Living residents may not return from their evacuation site in the Memory Support building as previously planned, due to a regulatory issue. We will have an inspection of the Assisted Living tomorrow. All of the residents are fine and we are continuing to provide service to them at Memory Support. We regret that this represents an inconvenience for residents, and we look forward to returning back to the Assisted Living once the Department of Health has cleared our return.
We are continuing to plan for Nursing Care residents to return from their evacuation sites tomorrow.
As of this evening, the evacuation order by St. Johns County has been lifted. Assisted Living residents who are at the Memory Support Neighborhood will be returning to their apartments this evening. We are currently planning for Nursing Care residents to return from their evacuation sites tomorrow.
Because the county evacuation order has been lifted, Independent Living residents may return home if they feel that it is safe to do so and we encourage them to please review the St. Johns County Emergency Management’s website for more information.
