Independent Living residents are urged to stay at their evacuation sites if it is safe to do so. Westminster Shores does not have power or potable water, some roads in the area are unsafe, and services at the community are still suspended.

Our community is still under evacuation order by Pinellas County. We have heard this morning that water has been shut off by the City of St. Petersburg, and there may be no electrical service. Much of the city has suffered significant storm damage. At this time we must remain at our evacuation sites until it is safe to return home.

Westminster Shores is continuing to prepare for the effects of Hurricane Milton. The community is under a mandatory evacuation order for Zones A, B and C, ordered by Pinellas County. Assisted Living residents who evacuated with us are now at Lutheran Haven in Oviedo, and everyone is doing well. We strongly urge Independent Living to evacuate the community as soon as possible. The campus will be secured at 12 p.m. today. We will continue to update as more information becomes available.
